Fire Protection 02
There are options of 25 kg and 14 kg.
TERMION FIRE-PROTECTION 02 – Intumescent coating with fire-resistant properties. It is used to protect and decorate wooden surfaces and wood-based building materials (chipboard, plywood, OSB boards, etc.). It is used in residential and industrial construction due to the material's resistance to fire, fire spread, decay and mold processes, termites, and ants.
Termion fire protection 02 gives the wood surface uncharacteristic properties, including fire resistance. The flame acts on the layer by layer, resulting in a foam that protects the surface of the material from the direct action of the flame and high temperatures. This layer prevents the wood from burning.
The coating is equally suitable for use indoors and outdoors. One of the advantages of the coating is its durability.
Damaged or scratched areas on the material can always be recoated. Termion fire protection 02 belongs to the first category of fire protection products for wooden surfaces. Minimum service life – 10 years.
The coating is resistant to fire and explosions, and is environmentally friendly.
Recommendations for use:
- Before applying to the surface, the coating is kept at room temperature and then thoroughly mixed. The surface to be coated is cleaned of dust, dirt, bark residue, and other coatings. Wooden materials must be at normal humidity levels.
- The coating is applied at a temperature of +5°C and humidity up to 70%. A roller, brush, or airless compressor is used. If necessary, Koller (pastel only) can be added to the coating. During application, the wood must be protected from precipitation.
- A basic antiseptic impregnating primer is first applied to the untreated wood.
- Mineral surfaces require impregnation with appropriate primer mixtures. They are applied either by sprayer or by hand.
- Important! Do not work with frozen wood! Termion coating fire protection 02 cannot be used in combination with other formulations!
- For additional protection, apply 1-2 coats of an acrylic copolymer-based topcoat with a thickness of up to 60 microns per coat. Safety precautions: Apply while wearing work clothes (gloves required). In case of eye contact, rinse immediately with water. After finishing work, wash hands thoroughly with soap. Do not dispose into the sewer.
The coating contains flame retardants, heat-resistant components, foaming agents, and stabilizing additives.
As the temperature rises, the top layer foams, simultaneously releasing inert gases. The resulting solid foam has low thermal conductivity, which prevents flame development, and by replacing oxygen with inert gases, the inert gases halt the combustion process.
