“TERMION FIRE-PROTECTION 03” is a water-dispersible, single-component, intumescent coating. It is used to protect communication cables (power and signal), with PVC and PE braiding, from the effects of fire.
Cable treated with a Termion coating fire protection 03 is protected against fire caused by a short circuit and ensures the system's uninterrupted operation at high temperatures during accidents.
Thermal protective coating fire protection 03 is capable of providing fire resistance (while maintaining the coverage ratio) in accordance with the requirements of GOST 5311-2009 (category A). In this case, the reduction of potential loads for cables covered by Termion fire protection 03 equals 0,98.
Where it is applied:
Termion fire protection 03 is used to protect cables from fire exposure in civil and residential buildings, power generation facilities, and communications enclosures. The coating can also be applied inside a railway train to protect the cables from fire exposure.
The main purpose of the Termion coating fire protection 03 is the protection of the cable braid against fire (for example, in the event of a short circuit) and the maintenance of the cable's performance in the event of an accident involving high-temperature loads. In addition, the coating significantly reduces smoke generation from the braid during a fire.
Physicochemical parameters of a cable coated with the Termion coating fire protection 03 remain unchanged. The coating contains water-insoluble flame retardants and inert polymer binders. The list of components in the water-based coating contains no organic solvents or other substances that could be aggressive toward the cable's polymer jackets.
Benefits of Termion fire protection 03 includes ease of assembly, which does not alter the material's protective properties. The simplicity of operation eliminates unnecessary costs, in this case for installing/disassembling the cable.
Use a roller, brush, or airless sprayer for application.
The coating contains flame retardants, heat-resistant components, foaming agents, and stabilizing additives. As the temperature rises, the top layer cracks (foams), simultaneously releasing inert gases. As a result, the resulting solid foam has low thermal conductivity, preventing flame development, and replacing oxygen with inert gases to stop the combustion process.
Termion fire-resistant coating fire protection 03 provides fire protection for cables installed inside buildings with humidity up to 90%. It is preferable to apply the coating by airless sprayer, but it can also be applied with a brush or roller.
Coating application is performed at an air temperature of +5°C and an air humidity level of up to 80%. Intercoat drying: 5–8 hours.
Storage and warranty:
The coating is stored in factory-sealed containers, away from heat, fire, and UV rays. The storage temperature is from 0 °C to +40 °C. If the storage recommendations are followed, the performance characteristics will be as specified by the manufacturer throughout the warranty period.
The warranty period for fireproof products is 1 year.
